Earthquake waveformI'm guessing 2.7 to 3.3 on the Richter scale, epicenter East of Ottawa.

Second mention [link] CTV.ca states - "The Ottawa area was shaken Friday night by a magniutude 2.99 earthquake, said the U.S. Geological Survey."

They don't know it was felt as far away as Montreal (thanks Sara!)

[Edit 10:02]
Epicentre is reported to be Thurso, Qc [link]. CHRO is reporting that it was a 4.5 - well beyond my guestimate.

Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology [link] reports it as 4.0.

Geological Survey of Canada [link] reports 4.5

I also note that Canada.com and CTV.ca have update the articles as more information was made available.
